The attorneys at the law firm of Stephen R. Little, P.A. offer a wide range of legal services to individuals, families, professionals, businesses, churches and other non-profit organizations.
Some (but not all) of the legal services we provide include:
- Real Estate Titles
(land title examinations when you purchase land or a home or when you re-finance your mortgage, and general representation of buyers or sellers in purchase-sale transactions).
- Real Estate Controversies
(such issues as
driveway
and easement problems, boundary disputes, partitions, cartways, adverse possession, foreclosures, etc. We help you settle these disputes when possible but we fight for you in court when necessary).
- Real Estate Documents
(contracts, deeds, seller-financing documents, restrictive covenants for new subdivisions, like-kind tax deferred exchanges, etc.).
- Business Matters
(incorporations, formation of limited liability companies, business contracts, purchase or sale of businesses, non-compete covenants, collection of delinquent accounts, corporate securities issues, general employment issues, and legal counsel for all types of businesses).
- Wills and Estate Planning
(last
will and testament... basic or advanced, tax-savings trusts, by-pass trusts, probate-saving living trusts, special needs trusts, family limited partnerships, tax-saving asset re-allocation strategies, and other plans for modest to very large estates. Also powers of attorney, health-care powers of attorney, and living wills).
- Probate of Estates
(handle the probate of estates for persons dying with or without a will, ancillary estates for out-of-state decedents who owned some assets in North Carolina).
- Guardianships for Elderly or for Minors
- Traffic Tickets
(speeding citations, DUI, other driving citations).
Our legal practice areas are too numerous for us to list all of them. Please call us if the type of matter for which you need legal advice or representation is not listed above. If it is in one of the few areas where we do not practice, perhaps we can help you by making a referral to an attorney who does practice in that field of law.
We are qualified to obtain title policies for our real estate clients through any title insurance company.
